Tim uses London to work with elite individuals, organisations and teams in
the corporate, military and sporting sectors. He also sits alongside UHNW families, ensuring they are fully prepared to deliver their legacies inter-generationally.
About
Tim spent 30 years building one of the most recognised and connected Global Family Office networks.
Recruited to challenge boards and families to expand their thinking, he usually sits alongside CEO’s and their next generation, to deliver direct and intelligent thought around realising the visions that they have individually and as a business and family.
His time spent in Private Banking and the financial world broadened his ability to connect within the commercial sector and provide advice at the highest family levels.
Tim is also a champion on mental health issues in the workplace. This is based on his own experience of suffering from PTSD in 2008, due to his military service (1989-2008), both as an Army Officer and Royal Navy Commando Pilot. He is now a highly regarded and sought-after voice on Mental Health and Wellbeing. He was appointed as the Specialist Advisor to the British Army on Mental Health in 2019 to ‘speak truth to power’.
He has given evidence in Parliament on numerous occasions, been retained by Government, engaged by the military and delivered talks to numerous FTSE 100 companies on the impact of mental health, both in the workplace and at board level. Tim uses his own experiences from both the military and corporate world. Not only to ignite discussion, but also show that mental illness is a stigma that can be eradicated on our way to building a stronger mind.
His latest work is around ‘Cognitive Performance.’ How we use our mind as a weapon in business; understanding what it’s capable of and how we need to look after it to generate maximum awareness and performance.
Tim was a Trustee of the Oxford University Mindfulness Centre – the world’s leading research establishment on mindfulness-based interventions. He believes that mindfulness has a place in the corporate and military environment to not only reduce stress, but also increase productivity and understanding in a complex world. He recently completed a research-based Masters in Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy at Oxford University.
He was awarded a Knighthood for his work with the Governor General of Antigua and Barbuda and CARICOM in 2014.
The Grand Cross of the Order of Merit, and Commander of The Order of St John also in 2014 by HM The Queen.
Tim still manages to fly a helicopter for Pink Floyd.
